Things-I'm-Working-On Thursday

Doesn't have the same ring to it as WIP Wednesday, but I digress.

Nifty Needles is a needlework group at the church.  Mum and I go every Friday.  You can work on whatever you want, but a lot of the ladies are doing charity projects, so I thought I'd start making some preemie hats.

The pattern is the Ribbed Crochet Preemie Hat.  It's super easy; I'm only on my second hat and I already have the pattern memorized.  I love how quickly they work up!

It's a great way to use up yarn too.  I have a lot of odd balls (haha) and this'll be a great way to get rid of them.

Every so often I get notion that I have way too much stuff and clutter and I take a cleaning spell, but sometimes the cleaning turns into using up yarn.  This is one of those times.  If I crochet up all my yarn, the yarn won't be taking up space in my room, right?  RIGHT?

Edit: A commenter asked about how big my yarn stash is.  This isn't even all of it.  Plus if we pooled Mum's yarn in with mine, it'd be more than twice as big.

  1. It would depend on how much yarn we are talking about? Are we talking a ball or two, or are we talking a large tote of yarn?

Seriously though, I think using your hobby to create something that would benefit someone less fortunate is an absolutely incredible thing and you (and the others) should feel very proud of yourselves.

Hats off (pun intended) to you all!!!

    1. My yarn stash isn't as big as many people's, but it's big enough. If I can get a picture I'll post it.

  2. You will just hide the mountain of yarn so we don't have an intervention and send you to YA (Yarn Anonymous).
